PRIVACYPOLICY

01

Who We Are

Digitalz ("Company", "we", "our", "us") is a digital agency based in Amman, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, specializing in web and mobile development, UI/UX design, and custom software. For the purposes of Jordan's Personal Data Protection Law No. (24) of 2023 (the "PDPL"), Digitalz is the data controller for the personal data described in this Policy. This Policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have over your data. You can reach us about anything in this Policy at [email protected].

02

Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you and deliver our services. (1) Contact-form data: your name, email address, phone number (optional), company name (optional), project type, and the message you write to us. (2) Newsletter data: the email address you submit to subscribe. (3) Technical data: our servers process your IP address transiently for security and rate-limiting purposes. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect payment card details through this website.

03

Cookies & Tracking

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that profile you across websites. The only browser storage we use is functional — for example, remembering your language preference (English or Arabic) on your own device. Because we do not track you, there is no cookie banner to click and nothing to opt out of.

04

How We Use Your Data & Legal Basis

We process your data on the following bases under the PDPL: (a) with your consent — when you submit an inquiry or subscribe to our newsletter; (b) to take steps toward a contract — preparing proposals and scoping the project you asked about; and (c) our legitimate interest in securing our website — rate limiting and abuse prevention. We use your data solely to respond to inquiries, prepare proposals, communicate about projects, and send the newsletter you subscribed to. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

05

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data. We share it only with service providers necessary to operate this website — secure cloud hosting and database infrastructure, and email delivery for contact-form notifications — each bound to process data only on our instructions. Where these providers store data outside Jordan, we ensure an adequate level of protection consistent with the PDPL's cross-border transfer requirements. We may disclose data where required by Jordanian law or a binding order of a competent authority.

06

Data Security & Retention

All traffic to this website is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Stored data is protected by access controls, and only authorized Digitalz team members can view inquiries. We retain contact-form messages for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and any resulting project relationship, and newsletter emails until you unsubscribe. Data that is no longer needed is deleted.

07

Your Rights Under the PDPL

Jordan's Personal Data Protection Law gives you the right to: know what personal data we hold about you and obtain a copy; correct inaccurate or incomplete data; withdraw your consent at any time (including unsubscribing from the newsletter); request erasure of data we no longer have a lawful basis to keep; and object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] — we will respond within the timeframes required by the PDPL and never charge a fee for a reasonable request. If you believe we have mishandled your data, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Unit at Jordan's Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship.

08

Children's Data

Our services are directed at businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted data through our forms, contact us and we will delete it.

09

Changes to This Policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes affecting your rights will be highlighted on this page before they take effect.
